When police arrested Laura Collins for fatally striking a bicyclist while driving near Canal Street in early 2020, her fiancé, Gerald Robicheaux, bailed her out of jail.
But their relationship soured while she awaited trial for the fatal Mid-City hit-and-run. A year after the wreck, Collins strangled Robicheaux to death during an argument inside their St. Claude duplex.
