WESTLAKE, Ohio (WOIO) – A 71-year-old Fairview Park woman is facing drunk driving charges after police say she crashed in a Westlake parking lot and tried to leave before witnesses took her car keys.
Westlake police said they were called around 2:45 p.m. Saturday to the parking lot of the GetGo station at Center Ridge and Columbia Roads for a report of a crash. The caller told dispatchers the woman who caused the collision appeared intoxicated and had urinated on herself.
Before officers arrived, the woman allegedly attempted to drive away in a red Jeep, but bystanders intervened and removed her keys, police said. Officers noticed damage on the Jeep and said the woman showed signs of intoxication and had wet her pants, according to police…
