New Orleans’ Lil Wayne will get a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as part of latest 2027 class

Lil Wayne is set to join film and music industry royalty on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, earning a star as part of the landmark’s class of 2027, organizers announced Thursday.

The New Orleans rapper will be the latest Crescent City native to get a star on one of the most famous sidewalks in the country. That list includes the likes of Louis Armstrong, Tyler Perry, Harry Connick Jr. and Fats Domino.

As one of the most dominant rappers of the 2000s, Lil Wayne is known for his run of mixtapes and albums where he could take almost any beat and make it his.
