AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin man whose criminal history spans more than 30 years is facing a new series of felony charges after investigators accused him of committing multiple armed robberies, possessing more than 24 grams of methamphetamine, threatening a police officer and evading arrest.
Karl Musgrove, 52, was booked on eight felony charges stemming from incidents on July 22, including three counts of aggravated robbery, one count of robbery, possession of a controlled substance, retaliation, harassment of a public servant and evading arrest or detention with prior convictions, according to court records.
According to Austin police, the robbery investigation began shortly after 1 a.m. on July 22 when officers responded to a crash along Ed Bluestein Boulevard in east Austin.
