WASHOE VALLEY, Nev. — Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks has determined that a Nevada State Police Highway Patrol trooper was justified in shooting a man who authorities say fled a multi-vehicle crash in Washoe Valley and then charged at the trooper after a Taser failed to stop him.
A 26-page report has been released detailing the November 24, 2021, officer-involved shooting of Nathaniel Andrew Bailey by Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Trooper Taylor Bailey.
