A woman was swept away by the powerful currents of the Kern River, prompting a large-scale response from emergency crews.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, a park ranger was flagged down by a concerned citizen who reported that an adult woman had fallen into the river and been carried downstream by the fast-moving water.
