COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Roughly 15 tow trucks were parked outside the Town of Colonie Courthouse in support of a tow truck driver who was injured in a crash on July 17, as the man accused of being responsible appeared inside.

47-year-old Samuel Conde pleaded not guilty Monday to driving while intoxicated. Conde, who lives two hours away, in the Syracuse area, was arrested after three people, including 61-year-old tow truck driver Brian Wason, were injured in the late-night crash.
As a disabled vehicle was being lifted onto a tow truck on the side of Interstate 87 in Colonie, Conde is accused of hitting the disabled vehicle.
Wason and the two others were standing outside of their vehicles at the time of the crash, according to police. When the disabled car was struck, it was pushed up the truck bed and fell onto its side and into the roadway, causing debris to fly and injure the three people standing near.
