KERMAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A smoke shop in Kerman was immediately shut down after Kerman Police say the business repeatedly violated tobacco compliance regulations.
According to police, on July 31, they conducted a tobacco compliance inspection at The Spot Smoke Shop #3 on Madera Avenue, where it was determined the business was selling tobacco products without the required licenses.
During the inspection, officers reported numerous illegal flavored tobacco products and “other contraband.” In total, about $40,000 worth of illegal products were seized.
Because of the violations, Code Enforcement ordered the immediate closure of the business for operating without the required licenses. Officers say the business had received various warnings and opportunities to comply but failed to do so…
