When Gwinnett County students head back to school on Wednesday morning, they will notice something different in their school cafeteria: more options for breakfast.
Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Nutrition Program unveiled some new menu items to the Daily Post this past Friday as a tease for what kids can expect on the first day of school. Many of the new items are breakfast foods that are being added to school menus this fall. There are 135 schools in Gwinnett that offer breakfast in addition to lunch.
Overnight oats and yogurt parfaits with fruits and granola will make their debut on Wednesday, but omelettes with Colby cheese and scrambled egg bowls with roasted potatoes will begin appearing on the menu as the fall semester progresses…
