WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Changes are coming to the Catholic Diocese of Wichita with the establishment of a seminary, anticipated to begin later this month.
In a news release sent Thursday morning, the diocese announced that beginning on Aug. 26, the St. Joseph House of Formation will become the St. Philip Neri Seminary.
This is the result of a decades-long vision to bring a seminary to Wichita. That vision started to become a reality when Bishop Carl Kemme established the St. Joseph House of Formation in 2017 “to provide local formation for college seminaries.”…
