Drivers and residents along Nelson Road should prepare for about a month of daytime and overnight construction as Longmont begins an asphalt rehabilitation project Monday, August 10.
The work will cover Nelson Road between Hover Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard and is expected to continue through September 10, weather permitting.
Construction will take place intermittently from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and again from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The city said overnight work is necessary to provide a safer environment for motorists and construction crews while reducing traffic disruptions during the day, particularly near the intersection of Nelson Road and Ken Pratt Boulevard…
