PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A convicted murderer was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday for shooting and killing another rider on a TriMet bus in Southeast Portland nearly five years ago.
Wayne Conrad Thompson was previously found guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm for the August 8, 2021 shooting on a public bus along Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard.
