Another storm chance on Sunday, but the daily storm threat is likely to end soon

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Elevated storm chances remain in the forecast for a few more days before a pattern shift brings much drier conditions and hotter temperatures.

Scattered storms are likely today. The south shore is a little more favored over the north shore. Once again, the heavy downpours could bring a street flood advisory or two. Highs will return to around 92 degrees unless you get rain; then your area may stay in the upper 80s.

A disturbance from the Gulf will bring passing showers with a few thunderstorms through the middle of the day on Monday. This will keep our daytime highs tamped down to around 90 degrees…
