Over 100 mining operations produce 20 essential minerals across Nevada, supported by a statewide supply chain of more than 1,700 vendors. Approximately 400 of those businesses are based in Washoe County, emphasizing the region’s critical role in supporting mines throughout the state.
“Nevada is considered a top mining jurisdiction globally because of our commitment to safe, sustainable operations and our strong network of suppliers who provide invaluable services,” said NVMA President Amanda Hilton. “This move better positions the NVMA to serve our members, strengthen partnerships, and support businesses that keep Nevada mining growing.”
Home to more than 270 companies serving Nevada mining operations, Reno has the second-highest concentration of Nevada mining vendors by city, with Sparks ranking fifth at nearly 130 vendors.
