Lehigh Township welcomes new sergeant, officer, hears from land preservation effort

The Lehigh Township Board of Supervisors meeting on July 28 opened with an officer pinning ceremony. The rest of the time was largely devoted to public comment, particularly on the matter of the land preservation effort.

First, Brett Bindics was sworn in as the township’s newest permanent patrol officer, after serving a provisional term since June. Magistrate Robert Hawke administered the oath of office, and then his wife Angela pinned his new badge to his uniform.

Next, Craig Ball was promoted to the rank of sergeant, having successfully completed the promotional process and being selected for the position by the Board of Supervisors at their previous meeting. His new badge was pinned by his wife Megan, while their children Christian and Madelyn watched. The department members in attendance posed for group photographs before departing…
