Several Baton Rouge area eateries received critical violations from the Louisiana Health Department during routine restaurant inspections from the end of July through Aug. 4.

Some businesses are dealing with gnat infestations in the warm summer months, and others are struggling with staffing employees or managers with food safety certifications.

The health department’s retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment’s inspection reports, allowing residents and visitors of Louisiana to make informed decisions as consumers, according to their website.
