Two men have been found guilty of Battery Resulting in Substantial Bodily Harm in connection with a fight they initiated in downtown Reno in 2025, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday.
Authorities say Jaden Johnson, 23, and Trevor Delapp, 20, were with a group of people near Sierra Street and 1st Street on Feb. 15, 2025, when they passed the 18-year-old male victim and the victim’s friend. Someone in the defendants’ group randomly slapped the victim’s friend, causing the two men to stop and ask what the slap was for. Authorities say Johnson, Delapp, and two others began approaching the men, with Johnson punching the victim in the face.
The man tried to run away but was tackled by Johnson. Johnson and Delapp then began kicking and punching the victim in the face. The man went to the hospital after the attack, where he learned he had a fractured jaw…
