ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. – A shelter-in-place order was lifted Wednesday morning after officials responded to a fire involving hazardous material in the Metro East, impacting areas of Sauget, Cahokia Heights and East St. Louis.
The shelter-in-place order was lifted at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning as conditions continued to improve, St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency’s Herb Simmons said.
