ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) — Developers broke ground this week on four affordable homes at 3502 through 3508 Morgan Ford Road in Tower Grove South, ending roughly 15 years of vacancy on a former gas station site.
Tower Grove Community Development Corporation said the project took about seven years to complete planning and approvals. The primary obstacle was environmental cleanup of the former gas station, which was handled through the St. Louis Development Corporation. The Land Reutilization Authority then transferred the property to the CDC.
What the homes will cost
The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath homes are expected to sell for between $215,000 and $225,000. To qualify, future owners would need an annual income of approximately $80,000 for a family of four, or $60,000 for an individual…
