A New Orleans attorney running to become the city’s elected magistrate judge has filed a challenge to the candidacy of incumbent Juana Marine Lombard, claiming she falsely certified that she’s filed state tax returns for the past five years.
The challenge from Chanel Robinson Debose and voter Jackson Voss comes in what is now a two-person race for the elected judicial post overseeing the signing of warrants and setting of bonds for felony arrestees in the city.
