WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man who argued that he acted in self‑defense when he shot and killed his neighbor has been sentenced to about 2½ years in prison, closing a case that unfolded over days of escalating tension on a southeast Wichita street.
Allan Gunneson was sentenced Thursday morning in Sedgwick County District Court to 31 months in prison. He pleaded guilty in July to involuntary manslaughter in the 2025 killing of 48‑year‑old Brian Baker.
