Rockford man gets 13 years for aggravated robbery of elderly pedestrian

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The man who jumped out of the bushes and pistol-whipped his 65-year-old victim before robbing him at gunpoint will be serving a 13-year prison sentence for the crime, authorities announced Friday.

Dyandre Price, Sr., 45, pleaded guilty in June to the charge of aggravated robbery for the October 2025 incident, in which he attacked a victim who was walking home on 16th Avenue.

According to the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, Price ultimately stole the victim’s wallet and cellphone after striking him in the head with the gun and then hitting him several more times once he was on the ground…
