ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – One firefighter was sent to the hospital after the Rockford Fire Department was called to an apartment complex along the Rock River early Friday morning.
Just before 5 a.m. Friday, fire crews were called to 2429 River Oaks Lane in Rockford for a carbon monoxide alarm. Upon arrival, officials said flames were seen coming out of the roof of the building. No one was home at the time of the fire.
One fireman was transported to a local hospital for heat exhaustion.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation…
