IOWA CITY, Iowa — Boxes are being unpacked and dorm rooms are taking shape as University of Iowa students move onto campus ahead of the new school year.
For freshmen, move-in means adjusting to a new home, meeting new people and experiencing more independence. For parents, it can also mean conversations about staying safe as students get used to their new surroundings.
