Judge presiding over corruption probe into Metro Council member Cleve Dunn won’t be recused

Requests to recuse Judge Gail Horne Ray from the Louisiana Attorney General’s investigation into alleged Baton Rouge city corruption were denied Tuesday on the grounds they were filed too late.

Judge Marilyn Castle, who was appointed to rule on dozens of recusal requests from Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office, said Tuesday the requests were made outside of the allowed 30-day window, measured from the moment prosecutors learned of facts they believe made a recusal necessary.
