A 36-year-old St. Louis man died, and three passengers were injured early Tuesday, Aug. 18, when a 2026 Jeep Compass struck an electrical pole in St. Louis County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 1:30 a.m. on southbound Lucas and Hunt Road north of Maywood Avenue.
The patrol reported the Jeep Compass was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it crossed the center lane and traveled off the right side of the road. The front of the Jeep struck an electrical pole before the vehicle came to rest facing northwest…
