A woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license in a vehicle with an expired tag during a traffic stop near the Sumter County Service Center at Pinellas Plaza in The Villages.
A deputy observed 23-year-old Francis Noemi Rivero DeCastro of Kissimmee driving a blue 2020 Kia SUV on Powell Road in Wildwood at 12:45 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the vehicle’s tag revealed it expired on April 8, meaning it was now unassigned.
After stopping the vehicle, the deputy learned Rivero DeCastro’s license had been suspended for failure to complete a court-ordered school and an unpaid traffic citation in Orange County. She had been notified of the suspensions on July 14 and 15, the report said…
