RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) suspended a fraternity for four years after the student organization was found responsible for hazing and assault.
VCU’s Phi Kappa Psi fraternity was suspended in early August after it was found responsible for three charges of abusive conduct, including assault, hazing and endangering health or safety, a university report said. This story was first reported by the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
The investigation, which took place from Oct. 14, 2025, to Dec. 5, 2025, found that Phi Kappa Psi hosted activities where new members were required to eat cat food and onions.
