AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man charged in connection with a 2023 deadly crash in Travis County was given five years of community supervision Aug. 3 following a guilty plea, according to Travis County court documents.
Documents showed that 24-year-old Noah Monks was charged with criminal negligence homicide, a state jail felony.

Conditions of Monks’ community supervision include:
- Serving 150 days in the Travis County Jail
- Counseling and treatment provided by the Supervision Officer
- Installing an ignition interlock system on his personal vehicle before the 30th day after the sentencing date and participating for 60 months.
- Participate in a random urinalysis
- Take a Driver’s Safety Class
As part of his plea deal, Monks must pay $13,786.50 in restitution to the deceased victim’s contact. Additionally, Monks must pay $460 in court fees, $60 per month in supervision reimbursement fee, a $30 Crime Stopper fee, $100 for Family Violence Center fine and $100 for drug/control substance fine…
