ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department released surveillance video on Wednesday of a deadly shooting in Soulard to encourage witnesses to come forward.
On June 28, a gunman opened fire toward a group of people in a fistfight in the 700 block of Carroll Street, according to a video posted by SLMPD. One of the shots hit Darwin Maldonado Vargas, 20, in the neck. Vargas died from his injuries moments later.
Homicide detectives said they have identified the shooter in the case and are working to build a timeline of events. To assist in learning what happened in the hours leading up to the shooting, police are asking witnesses to come forward…
