Man Critically Injured in Car/Bicycle Crash Wednesday Night in Near South Area

LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 20)–A 55-year-old man is in a Lincoln hospital recovering from surgery, after suffering from serious brain bleed following a crash late Wednesday evening at 20th and “A” Street.

An accident report from Lincoln Police indicates that a westbound car, driven by a 26-year-old Lincoln woman, was approaching 20th Street with the intersection marked by a stop sign for north and southbound traffic and a cross walk signal that was green for east and westbound traffic. About that time, a witness reported that a bike ridden by the 55-year-old man was traveling at a high-rate of speed southbound on 20th Street with no lights on it and didn’t stop at the stop sign before turning westbound onto “A” Street.
