RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A person was assaulted and strangled by a group of people on Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) campus in Richmond late Thursday night.
Just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, officers with the VCU Police Department were called to the 1200 block of W. Cary Street for report of an assault.
Investigators determined that the unidentified victim was “engaged in a verbal altercation with a group of people,” which led to several people assaulting said victim. Police said that, as part of the attack, the victim was strangled…
