BAKER, La. (WAFB) – Less than a week after another teenager was killed in Baker, community members, city leaders, and elected officials gathered Thursday, Aug. 20, to discuss ways to address violence and keep young people safe.
The meeting, at the Baker Municipal Auditorium, brought residents together to brainstorm potential solutions, including new intervention methods, mentorship programs, and ways to better teach conflict resolution skills.
