Bond denied for rapper accused of killing educator along Airline Highway

BATON ROUGE — A judge denied bond for a Baton Rouge rapper accused of killing an educator along Airline Highway.

Judge Louise Hines on Thursday ruled against granting bond for David Catherine, now 24, also known as “RealBleeda.” Court records from a case in Monroe connect Catherine to the “Bleedas” gang.

Catherine is one of three defendants in the 2024 murder of Teressa Calligan, who was the dean of coding for the Futures Fund division of the Walls Project and worked to provide teens with tech-based programming skills…
