Man injured in hit-and-run watercraft incident, taken to St. Louis-area hospital

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A 31-year-old man was seriously injured and taken by medevac to a St. Louis hospital after a hit-and-run incident in the Black River on Thursday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 3:30 p.m. The man was swimming in the Black River in Reynolds County, about two miles south of Lesterville. He swam underwater and was then hit by a passing watercraft. The watercraft then left the scene.
