WILMINGTON, N.C. – August 22, 2026 – Dr. Mark Armitage, a board-eligible family physician with more than 25 years of clinical experience, today announced the establishment of the Dr. Mark Armitage Scholarship for Medical Students. This annual award supports medical students who are pursuing careers in family medicine, primary care, or related fields.
The scholarship reflects Dr. Mark Armitage’s lifelong dedication to comprehensive, patient-centered primary care and his commitment to nurturing the next generation of physicians. Dr. Mark Armitage has spent his career serving patients of all ages, with particular expertise in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and advanced wound care.
