Tech giant Amazon is expanding its Louisiana footprint with its latest Baton Rouge facility.
61 North Logistics Center, a 240,000-square-foot building at 8800 Tom Drive, will be home to an Amazon operations center, just over a mile away from the company’s fulfillment center at Cortana Place. Amazon spokesperson Allie Payne said the facility will be used as an “operations center” but did not share the building’s specific function.
Details on an opening date for the center and the number of employees at the facility were not released…
