SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane City Council will be buying a Community Safety Campus building to give people better access to court obligations and essential stabilizing services.
During a special legislative session, the council voted 6-1 to approve the purchase of this campus at the Rock Pointe East Building on Boone.
“We are currently in a due diligence period, but if we determine the building meets our needs through this process, it will be a sound financial investment for the City and taxpayers,” said Mayor Lisa Brown. “Owning rather than continuing to lease space will save taxpayer dollars over the long-term, while also creating greater operational efficiency and a safer environment for staff and those navigating the court system.”…
