Iberville Parish Council members shot down a proposal from Entergy that would have paved the way for a solar farm south of Plaquemine.
The 7-4 vote with one absentee put the brakes on Cypress Harvest Solar, which was proposed on a 1,600-acre tract just southwest of Plaquemine along La. 75.
