Man imitating ‘Servpro’ employee prompts warning for residents impacted by Spokane fires

SPOKANE, Wash. – Officials with the Spokane Police Department (SPD) urged the public on Wednesday to remain cautious amid continuing recovery efforts for the Spokane Complex Fires, after law enforcement responded to a report of a suspicious male posing as a “Servpro” employee.

SPD officers were dispatched to the area of North Nine Mile Road and North Royal Drive, contacting a homeowner who claimed the man, arriving in an “older maroon pickup truck,” had tried to open the door to their house before activating their Ring camera doorbell.

“The male lingered in the area for 20 to 30 minutes and possibly photographed the home prior to leaving,” the department stated…
