Boulder’s Winter Health Playbook for a Weird El Niño Year
The NOAA Climate Prediction Center reported in August that El Niño is strengthening, with a greater than 90% chance of a very strong El Niño during fall and winter 2026–27. NOAA also stresses an important point: even a very strong El Niño does not guarantee a particular outcome in Colorado.
