BOSTON (WWLP) – MassDOT officials are urging travelers to plan ahead for Labor Day weekend, with heavy traffic expected on several days and changes planned for public transportation.
Massachusetts creates Family Advisory Council to shape child care policy
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation, MBTA and Massport are advising travelers to consider traveling during off-peak hours or using public transportation when possible.
“This Labor Day, MassDOT is asking everyone to drive safely and avoid distractions while behind the wheel, so that everyone can reach their destinations and enjoy the holiday weekend,” said Undersecretary and State Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver. “With increased traffic volumes forecast throughout the holiday weekend, we encourage travelers to utilize resources like Mass511 as they plan their holiday travel.”
