DES MOINES, Iowa — A man’s death in Minnesota earlier this summer is now being investigated as a homicide in Des Moines.
The Des Moines Police Department said that on July 14, Dimitri Craig-Lee English was found dead in his home in Minneapolis. Several days later, the Minneapolis Police Department contacted the DMPD and informed it that English’s death may have been connected to an incident that occurred in downtown Des Moines earlier that month.

An investigation was opened by the DMPD, which discovered that on July 5, English had been involved in an altercation near the 200 block of Court Avenue. The DMPD said that at some point after the altercation, English returned to Minneapolis.
