Popular access point for Little Spokane River remains closed due to August wildfires

SPOKANE, Wash – If you hoped to cap off summer with a kayak or paddle trip down the Little Spokane River, you likely won’t be able to access the river in popular areas.

The Little Spokane River Natural Area, Painted Rocks and the St. George’s put-in all remain closed due to damage caused by the fires in early August. This includes the Little Spokane River Water Trail.
