STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Fire Department of the City of New York will add 36 names to the FDNY World Trade Center Memorial Wall during a ceremony Wednesday, recognizing members who died from illnesses connected to their rescue and recovery efforts following the Sept. 11 Attacks.
The outdoor ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. at FDNY Headquarters, 9 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn.
Among those being honored are five Staten Islanders: Firefighter Thomas del Pino, Firefighter Kevin T. Reilly, Firefighter William C. VanName, Firefighter Thomas G. Smith and Pilot Steven W. Lukawski…
