SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A Deer Park barista was sent to recover in a local Intensive Care Unit after a tire flew off of a moving car and hit her outside a drive-up coffee stand on Tuesday.
NonStop Local spoke with staff at Rozy’s in Deer Park, the coffee stand where Hannah Petty was working at the time of this freak accident. Petty’s coworkers said she was outside hanging a sign when the tire flew off a car traveling on U.S. 395 and struck her.
Witnesses said the tire came off a car about 1,000 feet away before it reached the stand and blindsided Petty. A coworker then went to the driver and told them what happened while a bystander called 911…
