Spokane mausoleum theft case moves toward October trial

SPOKANE, Wash. — A man accused of taking family heirlooms from a Spokane mausoleum was arraigned on a charge of unlawful disturbance of human remains.

The case includes former Spokane police chaplain Ed Hoffman. He said heirlooms belonging to his parents were taken from the mausoleum.

The stolen items have since been recovered and returned to the Hoffman family…
