ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Police are investigating the death of an infant that occurred Sunday in northeast Albuquerque, and investigators say they do not yet know what happened. Albuquerque Police confirmed the death took place in the 3500 block of Lafayette Drive NE.
Officers and detectives were seen at the scene, along with representatives from the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department. Authorities have not released the infant’s age or said what led up to the death. The case remains active as investigators work to sort out the circumstances.
