Worcester market owner arrested for selling items illegally

WORCESTER — The owner of a Worcester market was arrested Friday after police said a search of the business turned up synthetic marijuana, flavored tobacco products and alcohol being sold illegally.

Members of the department’s Neighborhood Response Team executed a search warrant at A&C Market, 6A Boylston Street, about 11 a.m. Friday following what police described as a lengthy investigation.

Police said the investigation began in response to community concerns and complaints involving double parking and public drinking near the store.
