ALEXANDRIA, Va, (7News) — A former CIA official accused of stealing government property has reached a tentative plea deal in a case involving more than $40 million in gold bars.
Prosecutors and attorneys for David J. Rush disclosed the agreement in a joint filing Sept. 11 in a federal court in Alexandria, Virginia.
The two sides said they have a “plea agreement in principle” that would resolve the case before an indictment. They asked the court to push back the indictment deadline by 21 days from Sept. 17 to Oct. 8 to finish paperwork and secure government approvals…
